Robert finds himself locked down amongst a mesh of wires and cables. On escape, things become increasingly surreal and more testing for robert, who by now is starting to feel as if he's woken up in one of Freud's nightmares. Who is the fat man watching him on a wall of monitors, and what is feeding him? What does all this have to do with a gigantic pair of breasts and a small baby in a factory?

Mr blood is an experimental piece with a big production value. The aim is to create something utterly compelling and original from start to finish - utilizing a hard hitting score, visual effects, highly conceptual and stylized set-pieces, and some fantastic locations.

Fatum sits on a chair in a cold, tiled room surrounded by a gigantic wall of monitors. His flesh spills over the side of the chair, his legs are huge, cracks have formed around the tiles where his feet lie. A control panel at his finger tips. Tubes plugged into his flesh, a white substance pumps into his bloodstream. Fatum embodies a range of persona's, but is essentially the films 'root of evil'. and represents the anti hero to Roberts hero. ROBERT is the lead in the film. Robert is presented with a series of unpleasant scenarios from which he must escape. From being stuck in a simulator, to crawling through a claustrophobic tunnel, to riding a motorbike away from an onslaught of army tanks, to being electrocuted with 50,000 volts - robert is the ultimate contortionist. His reality constantly shifts and he must quickly adapt to each new scenario. He goes from utmost panic and dread to determination and stalwart heroism, to manic fear and aggression to passive submission. Fancy travelling to Bulgaria to work on a collaborative and fun short film project?

We are a group of four film makers who are heading to Bulgaria for two weeks to make a 10 to 20 minute film about people, culture and the important things in life.

This is a heavily collaborative project, with a strong devised element, so actors with experience and/or interest in improvisation would be ideal.

This job is unpaid, but all expenses for this trip will be covered, including flights, transfers, accommodation, food and travel insurance.

You must have a valid passport and be available to fly from Gatwick on the evening of the 18th September, to return on the 3rd October. Please note that if you are interested in this project you should probably also seek traveller's advice from your doctor/nurse. Bulgaria is in the EU so no visas are required for EU nationals.

Auditions will be in the form of a workshop, and will take place on Monday 13th September in Central Cardiff. Exact time and venue TBC.

Story:

A middle-aged British man has a brief affair with a young woman in America and she manages to track him down to his home in England. Keeping her true identity from his wife throws the man and his brother, who aids in the deception, into a series of hilarious complications which are compounded by the arrival of the brother’s wife.

Characters:

CHARLES: (late 40s) Attractive businessman and father. Serious minded, but not without a sense of humour. Somewhat naive and bumbling as he struggles to cover up an affair and save his marriage.

MARGERY: (middle 40s) Charles’ wife. Elegant, sophisticated. Sharp-witted. Is secretly carrying on an affair herself.

ROBERT: (middle 40s) Charles’ younger brother. Considers himself a playboy. On his second marriage. Charming, at times raunchy. Flamboyant manner.

JAYNIE: (20s) Sexy, vivacious young woman from California. Gullible. (Standard American accent—not southern!—required for this character.)
